Abstract Art – 1
This painting is untitled and is one of my favorites. It depicts a woman whose entire body and even her hair are intertwined like the branches of a tree or the delicate stems of a plant. This intertwining makes her appear strong and steadfast in my eyes, despite the many sufferings and hardships she has endured, which can be seen in her eyes. The issue of women’s rights and the backward and violent views towards them have always been a concern of mine. This painting suggests that she is a woman from the Middle East, North Korea, Africa, or anywhere else where women are still oppressed. The painting’s natural gray tones enhance the expressiveness of the piece. I created this painting in 2021 using acrylic paint on canvas, with dimensions of 60 x 80 cm.
